  A custom marble mosaic with brass inlay takes its cues from the geometry of the glass sidelights by the door, which are original to the home. The chandelier and front door are also original and have been refurbished to bring new life to the entry.

  The kitchen acts as the transition point between the formal spaces in the front of the house and the more contemporary, laid back rear. Traditional touches such as the large ceramic apron front sink are blended with contemporary flat front cabinets
  The living room has a casual, laid-back feel with bohemian touches reminiscent of mid-century California design. The palette is neutral, but warm and inviting.
  The existing two story addition was demolished and replaced with a new, single story double height space. The new glass box houses a casual seating area with lofty, uninterrupted views to the forested, ivy covered hill behind the house.
  Seen from the slope behind the house, the new addition appears as a striking black and glass volume attached to the white, original house.
  The double height space allows for views to the backyard from the second floor stair and landing, as well as the first.
  The ceiling in the master bedroom was opened up to create a vaulted ceiling. Finished with a palette based on whites and neutrals, the room feels airy, light, and serene.
  The master ensuite features a generously sized built-in tub as well as a steam shower. The neutral palette allows the view of the trees outside to be the main focal point, and pop of colour.
