  At the front entry, a peculiar elliptical window of the original home was retained as a relic of the historical house, framed on the wall alongside historical photos and artifacts related to the original home.
  The powder room also mixes old and new, with an emphasis on fun  and quirky juxtapositions of materials and colours.
  The kitchen is flooded with light from a south-facing skylight that angles to pull in maximum light.  A sliding window  above the sink opens to an outdoor bar - useful for entertaining guests and passing food to and from the barbeque.
  The client’s collection of teacups is displayed prominently in floor-to-ceiling shelves, becoming an eye-catching backdrop to everyday life in the kitchen.

  The dining room sits in the centre of the home. A generously proportioned buffer on either side allows tables to be arranged end-to-end for occasional dinners when the clients host large dinner parties for 20+ family and friends.
